The Sweden-Latvia Cooperation Fund supports the development of promising project ideas and the start-up phase of new projects with a clear development perspective. Particular attention is given to exchange and cooperation for network building between young people to promote social cohesion, creativity, innovations and the formation of new enterprises.

Fixed compensation for travel and accommodation
Anyone can apply to the Sweden - Latvia Cooperation Fund – individuals, working groups associations, organisations, companies, etc. Swedish or Latvian citizenship is not a requirement, but you must reside in either of the countries.
You can only apply for funding for activities that take place after you have submitted your application. The project must be finalized within one year from the start date.
You send your application through our application system. Choose the grant that you want to apply for above.
Please note that the we do not accept physical applications or appendix. You can link to a webpage, Youtube-channel, Dropbox/Google document or similar.
How would your project enhance and strengthen the relationships between Sweden and Latvia?
We evaluate the quality of the project idea on the basis of its originality, cultural objectives, content, feasibility, methods and target groups. It is a requirement that you have a partnership for the project in the respective country.
We prioritize applications for audiences that have little or no knowledge of Sweden/Latvia before. Diversity is also an important key factor for us.

You will receive an answer within four months from leaving the application for a project grant.
If your project is awarded a grant from the Sweden - Latvia cooperation Fund, you will receive an e-mail stipulating the amount and the conditions attached.
In the e-mail you will also receive information on how to request payment of instalments and how to comply with the foundations conditions.
No, our grants are tax free.
When your project is done, you will receive a report page. The foundation does not accept any reports or appendix on paper.
