The former chairman of the Sweden-Latvia Cooperation fund board Anders Ljunggren has deceased. He was not only the former chair of the fund but also the initiator for the three Baltic cooperation funds to be created. A true visioner with deep knowledge and understanding of the Baltic Sea region is gone.

The Fund´s Board at its meeting on April 15 2024, decided to allocate SEK 335 200 (EUR 29 200) for project applications in the spring season of 2024.
The Fund grants funding twice a year to foster bilateral relations between Sweden and Latvia. This year, a category of applications received concerned the commemorative events since the Baltic refugees arrived by boat in Sweden, named “Gotland - 80 years after”.
