140 000 Swedish kronor allocated to various grants in the fall 2024
The Sweden-Latvia Cooperation fund works to support bilateral exchange and grants project funding twice a year. At the board meeting on the 25 October 2024, the board of the Sweden-Latvia Cooperation Fund allocated 140 000 Swedish kronor in grants. The grants fall in the categories project and travel, because this time no grants in the category media were approved. In addition to the 419 650 Swedish kronor allocated in the spring of 2024, a total of 542 650 Swedish kronor have been available for various Sweden-Latvian cooperation projects. The approved grants in the fall of 2024 are:
#P2436 Malin Serner (project grant), named “EricSong”, 25 000 Swedish kronor
Choral concert featuring Youth Choir Kamēr (Latvia) and Sofia Vokalensemble (Sweden).
#P2438 Ance Jirgena (project grant), named “Magnus Lindgren, John Beasley & Latvian Radio Big Band”, 15 000 Swedish konor
Collaboration project between Swedish renowned jazz professionals and Latvia’s premier big band, resulting in the creation of original compositions, an educational program and a performance.
#P2439 Kristine Zonberga (project grant), named “Anti-burnout in activism and burn-out prevention”, 30 000 Swedish kronor
Creation of a retreat for Swedish and Latvian NGO staff with the possibility to learn new methods for working with individuals and teams experiencing burnout.
#P2442 Toms Juhnevics (project grant), named “NORDIC MOODS sverige”, 15 000 Swedish kronor
Concert in Sweden and in Latvia featuring newly composed music and an accompanying painting created by Tina Eskilsson.
#T2415 Darta Deksne (travel grant), named “Neonatal observership for 2 weeks in Karolinska, Huddinge and Danderyd hospitals”, 10 000 Swedish kronor
Collaboration project between Riga Maternity Hospital and Karolinska Hospital with the objective to establish a long term collaboration between the young doctors and specialists - neonatologists in treating premature born babies.
#T2418 Laura Dzelzkaleja (travel grant), named “Green route”, 5 000 Swedish kronor
Collaboration and learning project between Latvian initiators and the NGO Zero Waste Stockholm to create zero waste routes.
#T2419 Julija Mironova (travel grant), named “ISMA and Incubera: Strengthening Ties and Exchanging Ideas”, 5 000 Swedish kronor
Collaboration to establish strong connections between the ISMA Business Incubator in Latvia and the Incubera Business Incubator in Sweden.
#T2421 Anna Vintere (travel grant), named “Exchange of experience with the Vänersborgs Zonta club: Latvian Zonta's path to a successful club establishment”, 25 000 Swedish kronor
Initiative by the representatives of the Zonta e-Club of Latvia, which is currently being established, to meet with experienced members of the Vänersborgs zontas and gain valuable knowledge about the club's founding and development process.
#T2423 Laura Spundere (travel grant), named “Explore and Exchange: Sweden-Latvia Tourism Partnership”, 10 000 Swedish kronor
Cooperation between Latgale Region Tourism Association and Swedish Tourism Association in an experience exchange trip to exchange ideas and creating a foundation for continued learning, innovation, and partnership.
