WHO CAN APPLY?
Anyone can apply – individuals, working groups, associations, organisations, companies, etc. Swedish or Latvian citizenship is not a requirement, but you must reside in either of the countries.
what is meant by young people?
The Fund´s explicit purpose is to enhance exchange and cooperation for network building between young people to promote social cohesion, creativity, and formation of new enterprises. Of course, this does not automatically exclude applicants - anyone can apply - but building networks for young people will be prioritized.
PROJECT PERIOD
Only activities taking place after submission of an applicaiton are funded. The project must be finalised within one year from the start date.
changes in project plan
Granted projects can be amended once. Any project plan can be facing unforseen circumstances and changes might have to be made accordingly. If a granted project needs ajustments, these have to be reported by email to the Fund sceretariat.
WHERE AND HOW DO I FILL OUT MY APPLICATION?
The application is submitted through the application system on the website. Physical applications are not accepted. Links to webpages, Youtube-channels, Dropbox/Google docs or similar are recieved by the system and accepted as part of the application.
IMPORTANT QUALITIES
The main qualities looked for by the board when reviewing are:
How is the project initiative enhancing and strengthening the relationships between Sweden and Latvia?
The overall quality of the project idea, based on its originality, cultural objectives, content, feasibility, methods and target groups.
Who is involved - applications that include audiences that have little or no knowledge of Sweden/Latvia before are more likely receiving a positive reponse.

WHAT IS NOT FUNDED?
Ready made projects, school trips, study visits and studies, visiting events, eg sporting events, exhibitions etc.
how long is the time from decision to AN ANSWER?
The reply is sent within one month from the last submission date.
SUCCESS - MY APPLICATION WAS GRANTED, WHAT NOW?
If a project is awarded a grant from the Fund, an e-mail stipulating the amount and the conditions attached is sent, along with information on how to request payment of instalments and how to comply with the found´s conditions.
is the grant considered taxable income?
No, the grants are tax free.
HOW AND WHEN DO I WRITE MY REPORT?
When a project has been finalized, the applicant must request the report form. The report consist of a few questions about how the proejct succeeded. It has to be presented to the secretariat upon request, complete with verifications of the project expenses. The Fund also asks for photos and other published material to use for its own marketing purposes.
